Introduction
ASEAN Sculpture Garden is a garden in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, situated adjacent to the National Monument and in the vicinity of the Lake Gardens. It is a landscaped garden with a collection of prize-winning sculptures in wood, marble, iron and bamboo. Exhibits have been crafted by artists from the ASEAN region.
What to Expect?
The sculptures:
1. Country: Malaysia - Title: ' GROWTH '
Concept: The twenty slabs arranged in a curving movement from a low profile to the 'tumpal' "shape pointing" upwards, symbolise the dynamic growth of the ASEAN region during the first twenty years.
Artist: Syed Ahmad Jamal
Material: Malaysia marble slabs on reinforced concrete.
2. Country: Singapore - Title: ' TOWARDS PEACE '
Concept: The six sculptures symbolise the progress in growth, unity, peace and harmony of ASEAN.
Artist: Han Sai Por

3. Country: Indonesia - Title: ' THE GATE OF HARMONY '
Concept: The Gate symbolises communication among ASEAN countries. Separate wings and pillars represent the interdependence of the nations. The concrete block in front of the gate symbolises the nations will create communication and conference among the nation will create harmony.

4. Country: Philippines - Title: ‘ BARONG-BARONG ’
Concept:A modern interpretation of old type architecture existing in the whole of ASEAN region. This must be used as a bed, toy, table and chair to actualize interaction among people.

5. Country: Thailand - Title: ' PROGRESS '
Concept: Stainless Steel is an industrial material which emphasis’s the industrial progress of ASEAN. Stainless steel pipes, despite their limitations, can be handled in a creative manner and made to look beautiful.
Artist: Itthi Khongkhakul
Material: Stainless Steel
6. Country: Brunei Darussalam - Title: ' The ASEAN Dance '
Concept: To preserved the old and welcome the new.
Artist: Abu Bakar bin Abdul Rahman
The garden are well maintained and offers a serene surrounding with lush greenaries:

3 months agoCurrently under renovation, moat and water features are drained. The facilities like rubbish bins and stairs are in need of refurbishment, stone and masonry work needs repairs. About time. Not a good time to visit. Unknown when works is going to be completed. Just recording that it is under repair at this time.

6 months agoCan do a solo trekkng. Pretty safe and very quiet here. Just follow the trails and signage. Pretty easy for beginner. Nice jungle. Parking at 10am still a lot of empty space. Try to avoid going back at 1pm ,bacuse it is jam people parking both side for lunch( i guess). You will stuck for few minutes.
