Temurun Waterfall

9 months ago"Come prepared. We didn't quite intend to swim but it was just too good not to take a dip in this clear water. The sound of the waterfall is so uplifting. Unfortunately, the place is poorly maintained. The stairways up to the pool were all destroyed and we initially wasnt sure if it was safe but eventually saw people going up and down. That have us the confidence of going up. It was only about 5-10mins easy hike from the main road. So you can even wear slippers to walk in... Please clean up after you." View

A mangrove island off the beachfront mainland of Kukup, a fishing village with a few floating houses in Pontian District, Johore Darul Takzim, Malaysia.
Kukup Island is one of the National Park are known for mangrove trees definitely and unique. Located on The Strait of Malacca and one of the largest mangrove islands in the world. A good place to stroll on, to explore be close to the nature with a green ambience and it's only accessible by boat.
You can see the flora and fauna in the mangrove swamp forest. There's a common pathway for the visitors to walk on some wooden structures and it will take one or one and half hour for walk through the canopy mangrove trees.
There's also a watch tower near the walkway, you can see the spectacular view..." View

The merdeka beach pedestrian walkway is quite long from the main road entrance to the small hill far from the start point. There are a lot of game-rent services for childrens & teenagers. There is also a foodcourt with various types of foods including the special, abc gunung jerai. Great bazar for window shopping, nice public facilities. It was a worth it experience" View
Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple
Swamy Basana
a month ago"One of its oldest temples, the Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Hindu Temple, was established in 1922. But it wasn’t until 1991 that temple’s new life began.
Sri Sinnathamby Sivasamy inherited the temple from his father and inspired by the shine of glass artwork he witnessed while riding in a tuk-tuk he decided to remake the humble temple in all glass.
The entire temple is covered in a mosaic of 300,000 multicolored pieces of glass, adorned with hundreds of thousands of glass beads, and contains statues of Gautama Buddha and Mother Teresa among others. Murals, done in glass, include some modern scenes of kindness and cross-faith love such such one of a Muslim and Christian helping a Hindu who got into a motorcycle crash." View

3. Some part of it is too secluded, be careful
4. No food shacks/stalls were open (maybe because of the covid19 restriction)" View

Many people come here with friends to exercise
The water level always overflow whenever it rains and certain paths are not accessible. This park certainly needs a fresh look in terms of landscaping and maintenance. Otherwise it’s a good place to sweat out." View
Crystal Mosque (Masjid Kristal)

2 months ago"Malaysia Islamic Heritage Park on Wan Man Island blurs the line between prayer and commerce. Although it is a tourist attraction , it also features one of the most spectacular Islamic places of worship in the world, the Crystal Mosque which contains elements of Chinese architecture and design, much to the irritation of many Malaysians.
The mosque was completed in 2008
The mosque was mainly created out of very unique materials which makes it unlike any other in the world.
Although there is some actual crystal present within the structure of the Crystal Mosque, much of the clear material you see as you approach it is glass as the mosques' sleek and modern look reflects off the water and the mosque is often illuminated from the inside, which makes its glass domes shin..." Cherok Tokun Nature Park (National forest)

4 months ago"Being an islander, I was very exhilarated to hike this hill. My BM friend (BM stands for Bukit Mertajam, in case you don't know) cheated me and one of my other friend, told us that he had hike before, but it turned out that he didn't hike before. So eventually we went up using that right-hand-side route, cut out to the tar road, halfway, then summiting the hill in about 25 minutes. Later, we descend the hill all the way via tar road. The experience was not bad, although I overstretched my calf while descending too fast. Definitely recommend you to hike, at least once in your lifetime. The summit has nothing to see except a signature radio tower. Overall experience, 10/10." View

Easy access with ample parking space and clean toilets near the entrance (RM0.30 entrance fees).
We took a slow hike more to take pictures of the wildlife and was not disappointed.
While taking pictures at the biggest tree in the park, a Paradise Flying Snake drops down from the canopy and quickly slither up the huge tree again. Also saw Lizards and Geckos around the huge tree, including a Giant Millipede.
Trails are clear and manageable although there seems to be many side trails, that can be confusing.
Lots of macques too and visitors should avoid offering them food.
It is a place not just for hiking but more for nature lovers!" View
