in the last weekA good number of auto belay routes (compared to the other Camp5 outlets) if you happen to be a solo high wall climber. There are more high wall than bouldering options and the routes were fun.
Counter staff are helpful and friendly!
When I was there, the AC was almost non-existent but I hope that was just a one-off experience ? -

Not 5 stars due to no aircond in this place. It's too hot on day time. -

3 months agoSHOCKING ATTITUDE TO SAFETY, AVOID!!!
I was at the Beast Park obstacle course yesterday for my 9 year old nephew’s birthday. One 9 year old boy in the group tripped over diagonal floor bars at high speed (speed built up needed to get through final obstacle) and hit his head on the metal bar wall. Up to that point we had thought that the floor and wall bars were padded with foam, but realised then that they were cold hard steel bars.
The boy suffered a huge and deep gash to his head near his eye that had to be held together and was bleeding profusely. There were screams at the sight of the horror of his open wound, and he was rushed to the hospital.
After the boy was rushed to hospital, we fed back to staff that the bars should have been padded and suggested that she raise this with her management. The floor bar positions being diagonal are easy to misjudge and trip over at high speed.
She replied that we had signed the waiver form and should know the risks of playing here. I was incredulous. Such insensitivity! Yes, we had signed away our right to take action against the venue, does that mean they have no obligation, not even a moral one, to ensure young kids are safe in their venue??!!! Do they want people to die at their venue??
BOYCOTT UNTIL STEEL BARS ARE PADDED AND ATTITUDE TO SAFETY IMPROVES! -

3 months agoVisited for the weekend combo that included try climbing and access to the Beast Park. No one in our group had any climbing experience, but the instructor was very encouraging and patient with us.
Although ultimately not my cup of tea due to my terrible physical condition, it was a very interesting experience. -

in the last weekIf it's your first time here, say you have no experience climbing, and the day pass is free. If you say you have any sort of experience, even if you're a first timer at this gym, they will charge you extra ? Staff explains none of this to you.
No lead rope for rent.
The ABDs they have is only Mamut.
In the photo are the rental shoes.
