Introduction
The mural scene at Seberang Perai, the Butterworth Art Walk is a product of Penang’s vibrant artists and the state’s rich history. With its eye-catching murals and installations, it aims to educate visitors about the mainland’s colourful past.
What to Expect?
Seberang Perai’s agricultural economy and history in exporting elephants are amongst the interesting facts that one can learn walking along the small alley in Jalan Bagan Luar. Who knew history could serve as a quirky backdrop for a photo op.

a week agoVery disappointing compared to the magistical Georgetown. Art Walk area is definitely not like the photos on Google. Highlight of the trip was crossing the bridge from Georgetown, apart from that a total waste of time and money. My opinion we have been spoilt in other areas in Malaysia as I would highly recommend not to visit Butterworth as it is very tourist unfriendly if looking around on foot. Save your time and money as their are so many more better places to visit in beautiful Malaysia.

9 months agoThe feri going to Butterworth is free but going back to Penang, they charged 1.2ringgit. The art walk was one bus ride away from Penang Sentral (1.4ringgit/way). The murals are beautiful, just bring/apply sunscreen because it's hot during the day.

May be some upkeeping program needed to ensure the arts are preserved. -
