Introduction
Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is a veritable secret paradise where butterflies actually dance nonchalantly in clumps of fern amidst scented beautiful flowers and flowering vines.
What to Expect?
It is located adjacent to the Lake Gardens and Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. The butterfly park houses many species that are local to the country.
Spanning over 80,000 square feet of landscaped garden with over 5,000 butterflies, exotic plants, butterfly-host plants and ferns, it is one of the largest houses in the world. The park also houses an exhibition area with information on butterflies and other insects, and offers a souvenir store for tourists at the end of the tour.
Besides the butterflies, the park is home to a wide range of preserved insects like rhinoceros beetles and praying mantises, all on display at the onsite museum. There's also a souvenir shop where you can purchased frames of preserved butterflies, scorpions and other insects.

2 months agoNice park... Can spend about an hour here... Lots of butterflies
Saw a few of them dead on the way . Authorities need to take care..
Another thing is that there is LOT of noise around - trucks n trailers moving around - creates a bad ambience for the butterfly park.. authorities to take care of..
Rest is all good -

2 months agoVery beautiful garden in the city of KL.
Enjoyable for both kids and adults we can spend about an hour or two here.
There is a wide variety of plants and butterflies all over and also a display of various insects at the exit which is fantastic. -

3 months agoLoved this place. My kids and older aged parents enjoyed this day out - we visited on a public holiday and it was not too busy.
The butterflies are beautiful and all of different colours and sizes. The garden that you walk around is magical with waterfalls and cute little bridges and ponds.
At the end, to help you cool down from the heat of the outside, there is an impressive array of insects to admire in an air conditioned space (which was welcomed by our family as we visited on a very hot day!)
This Butterfly Park is a true little heaven in the middle of KL. Cute little shop at the end to buy your fridge magnets if you like that sort of thing. The staff are really helpful too.
Minor issues.
They don’t take payment by card at the entrance so take cash. The toilets are not very clean, and the cafe only sells ice cream and fizzy drinks - literally nothing else.
I would definitely venture here again and we all thoroughly recommend it! -

3 months agoReally enjoyed the butterfly park. Some huge butterflies and some smaller colorful ones. I thought there’d be more but maybe it depends on the season. The environment is really pleasant and lush, great for a hot day as it’s sort of shady under the netting. Lots of steps up and down so not great for elderly or prams. Fish feeding was the highlight so definitely buy the food at the counter. Nice day out for adults and kids.
