Introduction
Melaka Bird Park is a gigantic aviary, home to a wealth of free-flying tropical birds representing more than 20 species, including peacocks and parrots. It’s possible to buy tubs of seed to feed the birds and to observe them from a canopy skywalk, and the park also has dining options and a souvenir shop.
What to Expect?
Discover different kinds of bird species - such as macaws, lovebirds, peacocks, and even chickens - from four different continents. Make the trip even more memorable when you climb up the 108-meter long skywalk. With over 12 meters in height, the kids will be able to see the park from a bird's eyeview. Feel your kids' excitement as birds fly freely overhead.
Climb down the skywalk and proceed to the bird feeding area. Once there, hand some seeds and corn to your kids for an unforgettable feeding experience. Watch in amazement as birds flock the hands of your children and wait for leftover bits at a close range. End the day with a picture or two of the whole family!
The Melaka Bird Park also houses a number of birds from other regions such as South America, Asia, Australia and Africa. Aside from the free flying birds, giant aviary and canopy walk, Melaka Bird Park also offer beautiful and natural surroundings of the Ayer Keroh forest. The spacious boardwalk and cascading waterways in the park makes for a relaxing and tranquil activity with family and friends.
If you are an aspiring photographer, the Melaka Bird Park provides beautiful views filled with colourful birds and lush greenery. The cascading waters from an artificial waterfall provide a calming environment while the high walkways are set up for visitors to walk around where the birds are flying and perching in the trees.
At a height of 12 metres and with a length of 108 metres, the skywalk is accessible via stairs or elevator. For visitors who get the occasional vertigo, a few feathered friends can be seen on the ground floor, namely colourful mandarin ducks and a few swans swimming in the miniature river.

6 months agoThis place looks like an abandoned building. Such a shame. This could be one of the amazing attraction of Melaka for the kids. There is no sign for the building to open soon. It has been bushed everywhere around there. The big signboard to bird park at the entrance should be removed. The relatable parties should put some contribution and effort to renew the bird park back. .

a year agoAccording to their Facebook page, Melaka Bird Park was closed 'temporarily for maintenance works from 3/9/2018'. That was over 3 years ago! No information on if, and when, it will ever reopen.
