What to Expect?

The Orchid & Hibiscus Gardens are located opposite the KL Bird Park within the scenic KL Lake Gardens, a few minutes drive from the hectic heart of the city. The Gardens form part of the Botanical Garden, a vast park that stretches over the hills around the picturesque Tasik Perdana Lake, in the very centre of Kuala Lumpur.

You can wander around this one hectare park and admire thousands of multicoloured orchid plants of many different species.

The Orchid Garden houses up to 120 genera species of orchids 5000 hybrid. The garden comprises a semi circle pergola for the climbing and epiphytic variety and a rock garden for the terrestrial variety.

Orchid Garden:
The small, but incredibly beautiful Orchid Garden occupies a territory of just one hectare. However, in this compact space are more than six thousand orchids from over 800 different species.

The garden has both common and extremely rare specimens of this exotic flower, which charm and amaze visitors with their rich colours, inimitable patterns, and fantastic shapes.

The Hibiscus Garden
Just right next to the Orchid Gardens is the Hibiscus Gardens, both of these gardens is a popular venue for the local professional photographer to take wedding pictures (due to the beautiful scenery setup).

The Hibiscus Garden showcases the various species of Malaysia’s national flower, the Bunga Raya (Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis). Some of the attractions in the garden include a 4-metre high waterfall, pools and fountains. A lovely colonial style building has been converted into an exhibition hall with a tearoom and a gallery.

The Hibiscus Fountain is a clear marking to indicates that you are now situated in the Hibiscus Garden.

Very beautiful and big garden. Good for jogging and exercise here for both kids and adults. Some people will bring along their foldable bicycle here for a short and safe ride. Fun playground available for kids under age of 6 as well.
