What to Expect?
Also known locally as 'Pasar Malam', the night market is actually a cultural shopping phenomenon that occurs throughout Malaysia, beginning from evening till late night. This local weekend shopping attraction begins as early as 4pm and ends as late as 11pm, but rainy weather affects these hours.
Originally based in Brinchang, the new location is accessible along the main road near Hotel Casa dela Rosa.Moved from its former location in Brinchang, the Night Market now lights up Golden Hills in Tanah Rata with activity and atmosphere as visitors explore its many products and offerings.
Similar to the farmers' market at Kea Farm, native products of Cameron Highlands comprise the bulk of bargains, including fresh crops, strawberries, vegetables, fruits, flowers, ornamental plants, colouful souvenirs and 'I Love Camerons' T-shirts. The Night Market is also a culinary adventure - a tantalising exhibit of hawker stall food from different cultures across Malaysia.
The night market is also a massive food corner - meals, snacks and treats mostly made from authentic Cameron Highland ingredients.
Hawker stalls are abundant throughout the night market - a great place to sample different food cultures from Malaysia.
Visitors can find fried local snacks comprising vegetables, yam pieces and mushrooms fried in batter.
Visitors can also find some succulent plants and flowers for sales at some stalls, a great convenient way to get these Cameron Highland's staples without having to visit the farm.
Apart from street food and plants, visitors can also find all various assortment - from clothes, apparel, household items, to dolls.
The traffic getting to the market could be bad, sometimes at a standstill or snail pace. We suggest to make the visit at earliest time possible.
The market opens every Friday and Saturday. During school holiday week, the market opens every night. Most stalls are set up and ready for visitors as early as 5pm, while 10pm is usually the time the stall owners call it a day.

a month agoA dreamy place to spend an entire week. Visited 2 times, each time was truly amazing. People visit Cameron specially for its amazing cool weather, it gives an absolute winter vibe. Lot of awesome places to explore and suitable for backpackers and digital nomads.
Tips: Try to avoid public holidays and better to keep your own vehicle. Transportation is so horrible during weekend or public holidays. -
