in the last weekit's ok., the architecture is great, the view as well. but the depth of the climate is hard to feel through the commerce and sale of flip-flops, bathing suits, key chains and many other gadgets not related to the temple. Literally a flea market

in the last weekYou can either walk or take the cable car to reach the top of the hill, where the guan yin statue is located.
One of the temples most impressed me is the Pagoda. The roof is full with the art of DunHuang murals and their walls are placed with thousands of golden Buddha statue. And the innermost placed few solemn, majestic and enormous statues of Buddha. You can also pray here and buy amulets inside the Pagoda.
The views from Kek Lok Si are picture perfect. Try to reach the top and take photos there! -

a week agoThis is a very large temple in Penang island. The have many area that can be visited. Top of the hill is the KuanYin statue. very large statue. There is a lift service going to the statue.
There is another multi level pagoda at the side.
Both the lift and the access to pagoda need to buy ticket on the spot.
I recommend taking taxi to the top and walk down all the way. At the bottom is a large area with foods and stalls. -

4 months agoI recently had the pleasure of visiting Kek Lok Si Temple and was absolutely blown away by the beauty and serenity of the place. The temple complex is massive and features stunning architecture, colorful artwork, and intricate sculptures that pay tribute to Buddhism.
As I walked through the temple, I was struck by the sense of peace and calm that permeates the air. The chanting of monks and the sound of prayer bells added to the peaceful ambiance of the temple, and I felt a deep sense of reverence and respect for the place.
One of the highlights of my visit was the impressive seven-tiered pagoda, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The pagoda is a true masterpiece of architecture, and the attention to detail is truly impressive.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting Kek Lok Si Temple if you are ever in the area. It's a truly magical place that offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Buddhism, and the peaceful atmosphere is perfect for relaxation and contemplation
