KL Tower Mini Zoo

G Y

"Wide variety of animals that the mini zoo hosted, plus the staff were generally really friendly with us - they offered us food to feed some of the animals (eg monkey, birds) without us asking, and with no extra fees (in the bigger zoos, they may charge a fee for feeding each animal). 10/10 value for the entrance fees.

Took us one hour to complete the entire walk, where we stopped to take photos pretty frequently along the way.

Visited on a weekday afternoon, and thus visitors were barely seen.

Definitely did not regret coming just to see the animals. Plus point is that its location is amazingly convenient - plan your visit together with the Tower Walk/Box."

The Hideout Gopeng

"The best decision I made was to use Hideout Gopeng for my first ever white water rafting experience. Was quite wary initially as I don't know how to swim. But Hideout Gopeng transform my fear to the best time of my life. Their safety measures, from detailed briefing, their equipments used, their guides were top notch. Tq so much Cindy, Mr G for their super warm welcome. And tq to Ozzy and Boy, the super guides who made the ride a total blast. Keep up the great work guys. Can feel the passion and love for what you do, my family will be back to try your other activities soon."   View

The Habitat Penang Hill

"Came here during school holidays. It was very crowded and it took me almost 2 hours (3-5pm) to get into the funicular train. The habitat entrance was RM50 so it was considerably less crowded than other attractions and there's no queue. Enjoyed myself strolling through the quiet and well maintained space, it wasn't very long though, 1 hour is enough to explore. The Curtis Tree Walk is indeed a unique experience. I love it because there's barely anyone when I was visiting so it was kinda like a private area. If you don't particularly love nature or don't find Curtis an interesting attraction, you might want to skip the Habitat due to the price."   View

Penang War Museum

"This place deserves better recognition for preserving the horrors of war as it was in WW2.

Johari has done a fantastic job in making this place accessible to all and experience first hand what it was like during the British and Japanese occupation in Penang / Malaya.

Do bring comfortable foot wear as there are lots of walking. Long pants to ward of mosquitoes , maybe even a repellent as there are swarms of them in the jungle.

Highly recommended.

BTW- this site is acknowledged as the top 10 of Asia's most haunted."

The Hideout Gopeng

"Best outdoor experience here in Gopeng. Owners and coaches are extremely experienced and have been doing outdoor activities for years. A group of 10+ of us had a great time white water rafting here and felt really safe and comfortable with their people and A-Grade equipment. ?

The place is also very well kept! Beautiful landscaping and infrastructure with a very minimalistic but functional design. Just look at their urinals - that's literally all you need! Can't go back to peeing into fancy ceramic urinals anymore. ?"

Melaka Submarine Museum

"This is a great place to visit, you can explore the inside of the submarine how it look like. They charge the price of RM 5 for kid and RM 10 for adult.

Beside than the submarine , you also can see the 2 jet from near how it look like. However you are not able to see how does the cockpit look like.

Once you have completed the submarine and jet fighter journey. You also can enjoy the horse ride which they charge rm 10 for a solo ride and the cage ride same as the entrance fees. The parking is free and they do have some convenient store for you to buy some drinks."

Perak Museum

"Very cheap entry with many informative display. Spacious, air conditioned and clean. Can spend a good hour (or more) learning. Love the animal display. I didn't expect a high standard for a small town like this. Hope more people will make it a point to visit so they can keep this going.

There's some antique cars and boat display outside. There's a small children's playground that seemed decent (apart from the broken swing)

No full stars rating because there was a children's corner but nothing was there. And there wasn't any soap in the ladies toilet. The toilet also has be flushed "creatively ". I don't know why this seem to be a common thing with Malaysian spots.

Adult : RM2
Child : FREE"

Asobiba - Kids Fun Playground

"Love the selection of toys and cleanliness of this place. Great for toddlers and younger children. There are tables for parents to relax while kids play. Only thing I wished for was an age limit for the kids coming in. There were 8-10 year old running around rowdily, shouting, pushing younger kids over, tossing toys everywhere, it's really a safety hazard and they make sucha big mess. Parents were nowhere to be seen while the mayhem was taking place. Parents please be responsible of your children! It was a beautiful place before the older rowdy kids came in. But overall, a wonderful place."   View

Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum

"Museum was clean and well maintained. Guided tour are available depends on the time of the day but it wasn’t available when we got there, but the information book was informative enough for us. RM 16 charge was money well spent, we learnt quite a bit whilst there. There’s signs clearly say don’t touch the antique items but sadly seems the signs were still ignored by some visitors. There was insufficient staffs to enforce any kind of control. People really need to respect these historic items to preserve them for our future generations.."   View
