Introduction
Lata Tembakah is a 7-tiered thunderous waterfall that flows majestically through the rainforest. Visitors could climb to the highest cascading water for a splendid sight. Beautiful natural scenery , river , waterfall , natural ponds and jungle trails waits you.
What to Expect?
There are seven tiers to it and each has its own pool. You can expect to spend many hours swimming and frolicking around in the water. Each tier also has something different for you to explore so make sure to visit all of them.
To reach the upper falls, there are two possibities. First, you can choose the jungle trail, which is clearly signposted. The other way is to scramble upwards at the right side of the main fall. Interesting but not easy. The upper falls are also very impressive and as it takes some effort to reach them, they will be quiet even when there is a crowd.
The various facilities available here also makes Lata Tembakah Recreational Forest a convenient option as a holiday spot. Here, there are ample parking spaces, food stalls, gazebos, chalets, and public toilets to name a few. Some nature trails are also available for those who prefer to take a stroll through the jungle. As a prime attraction in the area and a popular outdoor spot known to the locals, it attracts huge crowds especially during public holidays and weekends.

Located within the Gunung Tebu Forest Reserve in the District of Besut, Terengganu Darul Iman, Malaysia.
It's the most popular waterfall among residents/community of the East Coast Peninsula Malaysia especially from Terengganu, Pahang and Kelantan State. Neither the biggest nor the most beautiful waterfall, not to crowded but worth it, cool and refreshing. ?
Nice place for outdoor and recreations activities like picnicking, camping, hiking and fishing. It also suitable for people who want a privacy and who cherish the unique alike...
The clean, cold and fresh water flows from the top of the cascades in the several streams and pools, if I'm not mistaken there's 5 + levels of waterfalls. Some areas are quite deep, you needful to choose a safe level to take a dip/swimbath. Always be cautious, be careful where your step in bare feet. Thereabouts many people was died here due to drown cases.
You can have a different experience by hike up to the impressive upper waterfall levels to get the beautiful scenery, good sightseeing with panoramic views. Be sure to respectful and don't do anything untoward, don't do the don't. Appreciate nature, there is something unseen will be watching, you all are not alone... ?️
Public facilities are available here including parking spaces, food stalls, cafe, gazebo/booth/hut, hall, surau, toilet, bathroom, playground, wooden bridge, jungle track, chalets, camping site (for over night stay) and some other facilities.

2 months agoHiking to the top waterfall is about an hour. Don't give up, hiking trail is easy for anyone.

a year agoExcellent spot for picnic area. Beautiful waterfalls, but you have to do a bit of trekking. Faciloties include chalets and camping area

3 months agoPlease don't go. There are quite a few deaths. If you really want to go, please educate yourself on waterfalls, stay at a safe area with rope or shallow ones and stay as fit as possible
