Introduction
An educational park that promotes the importance of the mangroves, there's a board walk that lead you through the mangrove, and there are informative boards throughout that educate visitors on the trees and values of mangrove preservation.
What to Expect?
Since one of the objectives of Taman Rekreasi Paya Bakau Kampung Sijangkang is to promote the public awareness to nature and mangrove swamp, there were many information board tagged on the trunk of the trees or near the trees. It was really a good effort as we get to know the name of the trees.
The park has its own charm and very green! Never underestimate the length of the boardwalk. It could take up to 30 minutes one way depending on your pace. Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water and remember do not throw any rubbish in the mangrove area.
At the end of the 700 metres board walk, there was a Ban Lama which is being developed as a rest area. In terms of facilities, there are surau, toilet, souvenir shops, camping area as well as team building facilities.

4 months agoExcellent place for nature lovers. 800 metres of boardwalk through the mangrove forest allows one to experience the sight, smell, sound and tranquility of nature. Be observant and you can find creatures in the mud, in the water and on the trees. There are information on the species of trees along the walk. Place is well taken care of by the community of the area so visitors, please DO NOT LITTER or make noise. If you come across wild macaques (monkeys), please refrain from provoking or feeding them! Have fun. ?

10 months agoA good place to walk into natural mangrove swamps to rejuvenate your spirit. You will be walking on wooden structure which is well maintained and safe. No running is allowed here for safety. Most of the time you will be in shades of mangroves trees and giant nipa palm. There are many places for resting with wooden benches for viewing around. Do look out for the bright orange colour small crabs in the muddy swamps below. It has only one big claw which makes it stands out. I also saw some beautiful butterflies after a short walk from the enterance. Only RM 2 for adults and RM 1 for children.
Do wear proper shoes for walking, preferably non-slip too. Enjoy your walk and stay safe! -
