Introduction
Also known as Beach of Melody, Pantai Irama is located in Bachok District, about 25km south-east of Kota Bharu. It is a nice beach with soft clean sand, popular among the locals and visitors.
What to Expect?
This beach is popular among the locals and visitors and hence, during the weekends (Friday and Saturday), the beach will be packed with family and children. It is also a common place to hold concerts and events. It is situated along the main road of Bachok, Kota Bahru.
Pantai Irama Bachok (Beach of Melody) got its name from the gently hushing sound of the sea breeze. It's known to be the most beautiful beach in Kelantan and is a common hang out place for families and friends.
The beach had been suffering from costal erosion for a while. Attempts have been made to control beach erosion by means of lining concrete blocks (revetments) along the edge of the beach.
The beauty of the beach does not lie only to its clear blue water, but also to the facilities available for visitors. Apart from basic facilities like motels, public toilets and restaurants, there are also water sports, boat for hire and barbeque facilities to make your visit more interesting.
There are many motels along the beaches. otherwise, there are many hotels in town too. Most of the Kelantan hotel will cost about RM 100-200 per night and it comes with basic necessity to make your stay pleasant. Among the popular ones are Renaissance hotel and Royal Guest House.
Despite the coastal erosion, it is still a nice beach with soft clean sand once you move away from a somewhat smelly stream which drains into the sea.
Visitors can find many food stalls and mini restaurants in the area, including the fast food chain KFC what set up a branch in this place.
There was some litter on the beach which unfortunately is inevitable as this beach gets busy at weekends and holidays.
Please do take precaution that swimming and bathing in the sea is prohibited from November to March due to high tide and rough seas.
Other beautiful beach around the region is Pantai Bisikan Bayu (beach of Whispering Breeze) and Pantai Cahaya Bulan (Moonlight Beach) which are also well known for their beauty in Kelantan.
While you are in Kota Bahru, you should take the opportunity to visits some of the rare museums around. Among are the Islamic Museum and War Weapon Museum. You should also take the chance to visit one of the oldest palaces around. The Grand Palace (Istana Balai Besar) has more than 150 years history and is still standing tall in Kota Bahru.

2 months agoThis beach brings my memories back when I was at teenager.A few years ago, there were alot of events organized here such as horse racing, boats parade and "sukan rakyat" commonly on the day of Kelantan King Birthday.. Easy and spacious parking here. Do enjoy the view especially at evening. If you come in Friday evening, there's night market in front of the mosque and morning market on Saturday morning..A lot of eateries around here and public toilets available. Strictly no swimming please during monsoon season!!

3 months agoFamily and friends can make gathering by loafing here. Can have fun in this Pantai Irama beach. Suitable for single person and all person to fresh their mind by hearing the sound of beach wave and air. Delicious food sold there. Suitable for tourists to hangout in this beach.

4 months agoA magnificent, clean and peaceful beach in Bachok, Kelantan. There are also people selling ice cream, toys and kites for visitors. What is crucial, make sure not to litter everywhere and keep our beach clean.

4 months agoPantai Irama is a good place to chill , beach is clean and sound of wave can make you feel relax here. There is dustbin and plenty of parking space .There is also some food stall along the beach . Must try the local food called lokching , just RM 1 for 4 stick .
