Introduction
The Hutan Bandar Recreational Park in JB is a kids friendly park with facilities such as a children’s playground, swimming pool, jogging track and a lake with trees planted around its perimeter, ideal for a fun time with the whole family.
What to Expect?
Hutan Bandar is about a 20-minute drive away from the JB town center. Since its opening in 1993, this park has been very popular with the locals. There are many facilities inside the park that cater to children, such as a children’s playground and swimming pool.
The park has some unique statues and mazes that are sure to intrigue children.
There is also a watch tower visitor can climb to enjoy a higher view.
There is also a large lake with trees planted around its perimeter so people can enjoy the shade and spend a leisurely afternoon by the lake.
You can bask in the serenity of nature, take a leisurely stroll admiring the lush greenery, flowers and idyllic lake, splash in the swimming pool, and run wild in the children’s playground. There is also a small food stall where you can replenish your energies.
In the evening, the park is lit up and there is a buzzing food truck area for patrons to have their dinners.
If you want to spend the night, check out the OYO 519 Domus Hotel located just 10 minutes from the park by car. A night’s stay costs RM120 for a family of four.

2 weeks agoGenerally, the place is okay with many food stalls to choose from during the weekend and can be crowded. However. not many stalls were operating when I was there on Monday. I'm not sure whether it is only on Monday or every day during weekdays.
The place is not well maintained, and some of the flooring are dangerous to walk on. Parking is adequate. -

4 months agoGorgeous forest reserve and park in the middle of the city, not far from downtown. Beautiful place to walk and enjoy the nature and greenery, lakes, trees, swamps, playgrounds, orchids, all peaceful and well maintained. Perfect for picnic and family time.
