Introduction
16km away from the city of Seremban, Ulu Bendul Recreational Park is a famous area in Negeri Sembilan out of the six parks that have been developed as ecotourism destinations.
What to Expect?
The destination suits budget-conscious families as no entrance fee is charged to visit the attractions and try out the various activities there.
As it is located at the upstream or “hulu” in local dialect while the mountain is regarded as a barrier or “bendul”, thus the name Ulu Bendul is permanent till today. According to research, the rainforest reserve is estimated to be around 130 million years old.
Facilities and Activities
There’s the children pool, playground, Taman Ular, Taman Herba, chalets, Mosque, camping and wall climbing facilities, toilet, food stalls, Gunung Angsi, a souvenir shop and many more.
Dipping in the ice cool pool and stream is definitely a highlight activity here. The refreshing and cool water from the stream that meanders through the park offers a fun place for visitors bent on having a dip.
There's also a man made pool that visitors can go for, located just right beside the stream.
Various activities can be enjoyed here in the forest where some of these outdoor activities include camping and fishing. For the more adventurous, they can go jungle-trekking.
To savor the best out of this park, visitors may prefer to stay at the specially designated camping grounds or rent one of the chalets in the park.
For fellow mountain climbing enthusiasts, they can surely start exploring the hillside terrain around the Ulu Bendul Recreational Forest. One of the favored mountains here in the Ulu Bendul Recreational Forest is known as Mount Angsi and on top of that, it takes about four hours to conquer this 825 meter tall mountain. On top of Mount Angsi, the breath taking view overlooking the lush green forest at the foot hill is definitely worthwhile.
Accommodations
Accommodations such as chalets and A-shaped huts are available here and the rate to stay in these places is between RM 19 to RM 30 per night. Being one of six recreational parks in Negeri Sembilan developed for eco-tourism, the nature journey promise crystal clear rivers, cascading waterfalls, and various strange and vibrant tropical plants and animals.
The one place you shouldn’t miss is the Taman Ular Sawa. There many species of snakes here. You even get to touch some of the harmless snakes, of course with the assistance of park officers.

2 years agoAn excellent place for a family outing picnic and availing of the recently completed swimming pools. Unfortunately, today, due to CMCO, not a single soul can be sighted. The food stalls in the food court are open for business without the usual crowd.
