Blue Ice Skating Rink, Johor Bahru

Jun Hong Kang

"Probably came at the wrong time. Came on the weekend and it was packed like sardines. RM35 for just 2 hours is very overpriced, and they don't even limit the number of people. Staff were friendly but it was a disappointing visit overall.

The first round of ice skate was nice but subsequently as more people join the rink, you literally can't move at all. Instead of worrying you might lose balance and fall down, you have to worry more about random people knocking you down.

Unless you're an expert and can navigate through the narrow gaps between people, I suggest not to come during weekends."

"Such a waste of money. And the toilets omg so dirty with no locks and no space to kept ur shower items no hooks for clothes hanging. Name called water theme park and u guys have to provide a proper place for changing I guess. If can’t please don’t open for people. Spend the entire time in the swimming pool only. Cause the rest look so dry and dirty. One good thing the boat riding area there is a girl who is very polite and guide us with a smiling face.. just imagine sit at swimming pool area. Never ever recommend. Nothing to take photo?even our family members join at there 9 of them seems we was there..but was a big waste?"   View

Kepong Botanic Gardens (FRIM)

"Entrance fee RM1 for Malaysian and Parking fee is RM5.

The garden itself is big and spacious but it’s less maintenance compared to other free of charge botanical garden that I have been to.

Lack of signboard, except there is always a sign lead you to sky walk which I assume to be the profit making attraction (RM15 and need to make online reservation)

There are interesting plants here scatter here and there. The lake water doesn’t look clean tho. There are koi fish in the pond/lake.

There is a washroom here but cleanliness need more improvement."

Bukit Merah Laketown Waterpark

"We went to the waterpark. Nice place for the kids and adults to enjoy themselves.

But they need to improve on few things
1. More food stalls - since you cant bring your own food
2. Get Bigger lockers - the lockers are too small and quite expensive to be honest. You end up need to take multiple lockers at different2 area which end up confusing as the locker tags has no number on them.
3. The condition of the toilets are horrendous. The showers has no proper drainage and you will be standing on other people pool of water (God forbid if people end up peeing in the shower). And they only put a small chair in the middle for everyone to put their staff on. You can just provide a longer chair so that its convenient for everyone.

Please consider my suggestion. This..."

Fraser Hill (Bukit Fraser)

"I enjoyed it tremendously. It was cooling and relaxing. Quiet. If u want something fast paced then this place is definitely NOT for you. If u just want peace and quiet and to be one with nature then it's perfect. There's only 1 supermarket near the police station. There are a few places to eat. Not a lot but enough. Temperature ranged around 26-29 during the day and 16-18 at night and sometimes colder when it rains. (This is in May). U don't need air-conditioning but maybe a fan if u tend to run hot. Plenty of places to hike. The waterfall was unfortunately closed. Unsure why. Went to Allan's water to see some ducks and fish. Then to the paddock to see horses and try some archery. U could probably do everything in one day (not including the trails - just the town). The only part I did n..."   View

Hutan Bandar Mutiara Rini Recreation Park

Heng Fong

"Its a park manage by the local authority within Mutiara Rini housing estate which takes 15-20 minutes to walk one big round whereby you may walk through an area of very tall trees which you can free the freshness of the air. Along the way there are many body exercising equipment that may suit you. There is also a pond with bamboo n willow trees surrounding it. You may see some turtles sometimes monitor lizards loitering. Sometimes you may see monkeys running around looking for food. Please do not feed them as they may turn out attacking you. There are also several huts or resting place representing the cultures and architectures of some of the states of Malaysia. Have a great day pal."   View

Gunung Lang Recreational Park

"Entrance to the park is free with boat rides for 3RM pet adult. What they don't mention is that you have to take the boat to actually access the park. The park has some lovely grounds that are perfect for a picnic, but keep your eyes open for some monkeys. They hover around people in hopes of scoring a snack. The park has a "mini zoo". The word "mini" must refer to the size of the tiny enclosures. The enclosures for the horses, buffalo and the herd of deer were particularly depressing. All of these roaming animals are locked in what can only be described as cages as small as my hotel room. The park has some bird watching towers that are locked so you can't enter them. It also boasts a cage... That is also locked.
The dinosaur themed playground looks like a fun place for children.   View

Pantai Batu Hitam Beach

"The Pantai Natu Hitam beach is a natural beauty.. subhanallah.. but the human factor is brutally ruin the nature.. the aatv operator only care about their business and money so the PBT (the local authority - Majlis Perbandaran Kuantan) attitude.. take for granted on their own local made rules and allow the prohibited does at the beach.. its ridiculous and totally unacceptable by healthy brain.. cakap tak serupa bikin.. just have a look at the billboard.. what it says.. and look at the aatv activity.. what a typical malay insane.. at any circumstance accident could happen to the visitors especially to the kids.."   View

Sunway Pyramid Ice

"Overall experience is good & got a bobby companion too. Going on a Sunday is expected to be packed ? Quite a number of skaters with hockey blades

Skates: quite tough to clasp on. Got bruises on both ankles. I was partially expecting to get some blisters. Perhaps next round try the black one.

>
There's one rather creepy guy. I think it's staff.
Firstly, he doesn't wear his mask properly. He approaches skaters, says something to them and i think gave them briefing at the "academy students corner". He did approached me, though, i didn't understand a word he said in Chinese...so i kinda ignored it. At almost the end of our skating session, we saw him flirting/teasing some girls (with kissy sounds...gross!!).

The other staffs are friendly from ticketing to ..."

Kota Damansara Community Forest Reserve

"Revisited the Denai 3 Puteri (3 Princesses Trail) after well, 3 year absence. Having a walking pole ready helps with your trail confidence. The trails are nicely maintained, but slippery in some steep parts, especially if there's been rain in the last 12-24 hours. Bring plenty of water - depending on your pace, you could be out on the trail for 3-4 hours. On the weekend and public holidays, be prepared to park further away from the Section 10 entrance. An RM 2 fee is charged at the registration office, which goes toward maintenance."   View
