Art and Garden Penang

"This is a magical place, but very difficult to find. Google maps takes you in to Balik Pulau and back out again when you could just stop at the roundabout just outside the garden. The gardens are spectacular, the glass art is so beautiful and the two are melded together wonderfully. We spent a lovely 2 hours wandering around looking at the beautiful bromeliads and monkey cups etc. It is all well taken care of and well worth the entry fee. There is a gift shop on the way out with lots of glass pieces for sale. I highly recommend this place."   View

Kuala Selangor Nature Park

"It's a nice nature park to take a walk while learning the ecosystem of mangrove forest. the admission is RM4 per person. You get the chance to spot some creatures like crabs, mudskippers and birds. The whole circle round the park only takes about 1 to 2 hours.
BEWARE OF MOSQUITOES, so either wear long sleeves and long pant, or bring insect repellent or both. there are some parts of the walkway which exposed under sunlight, it's recommended to put on sunblock or take an small umbrella with you. There are packs of MACAQUES along the way, you will be find if you don't provoke them or let them see food in your hands.
There are toilets only near the registration office but not along the walkway.
You are welcome to join their mangrove tree planting on certain date( call to ask)   View

Taman Canseri Park

"One of the hidden secrets of Putrajaya. Nestled inside the diplomatic enclave, this garden was meant for the diplomatic community to enjoy as a place to enjoy nature and the greeneries.

Alas, the envisioned diplomatic enclave is still largely a stillborn, so the garden is largely unknown to the outsiders. Really, you can sometimes run or bike around the diplomatic district /hill and not see a single soul ( yes, it can get a bit creepy but that's a story for a different day). For people like me who enjoys the solitude and would like to concentrate and their exercise, it's quite a nice place. And the gradient offers quite a challenge too

The garden itself is well kept and nicely tended to, even if the age starts to show

A nice place to be, really"

Amigos Horse Riding

"Nofrills decent forest horse riding experience. Their horses are tame and easy to ride. dont expect princess treatment or proper safety training and features during your ride.

Jungle ride is about 1 hr as mentioned by others. For me its a good experience. Just be calm if its your first time riding. Horse ride will be fine.

Make sure you wear long sleeve n pants n covered shoes. with a CAP/HAT. That will help alot.

Could be given a 5 stars rating if they upkeep the entire place. Of course price will go up la if they do so. for me, the environment is in acceptable condition.
Anyways, i dont wish to describe too much about this. ?

Ps : i hope the next person who read my review can bring some wet dog food and infection cream for the poor stray dogs th..."

Riverside Janda Baik

"We planned to rent 2 double-storey huts by the river for Aidil Adha holiday. Riverside does not accept advance booking for the huts, so we drove at 7am from KL so that we would arrived around 8am, the time Riverside office is opened. We immediately booked the huts that we wanted.

The ground floor of the hut is tiled open space that is facing the river. Great for eating with the family. BBQ pit is available but have to bring your own charcoal and grill pan.

The top floor of the hut is more unique with bamboo -weaved wall and windows and a balcony facing the river. There is a fan, a light, 2 single mattresses and 2 pillows.

The rent per hut is RM70 + RM50 deposit. We can stay until 6pm. There is an option to stay overnight until 2.30 pm the next day, just add R..."

Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

"We went there on Friday, the place was almost empty which was nice as there were no waiting or queues. They have a decent amount of rides for kids, but as my kids are below 6, they were only 3, which is very less considering the entry ticket is quite high. For young adults, almost every good ride is an extra ticket you have to buy inside. Please, please don't buy the 10 ringgit ticket to the waterless aquarium. Not even worth 1 ringgit. Even if the ticket was free I would be bored as it's not good at all. Just like any other theam park, the food inside is marked way up, so be prepared for that. Overall, the mall is not that impressive and very old. The only reason I liked the park is because it was practically empty, and my kids took the same rides again and again."   View

Cameron Highland Butterfly Garden

James Munday

"Overall: This is basically a mini zoo. Butterflies are a side attraction to the rest. On one hand nice to see some animals, on the other hand this place needs a solid clean, more information and more space for its attractions.

Main attraction: The butterfly farm 'room' was small but nice. Several species of butterfly around the room. Also some nice places to actually see where they make their chrysalis. There are gaps for butterflies to escape, so the local area is populated with butterflies. However there was very little information for curious people. Even a leaflet on which butterflies you can see would be nice.

Side attractions: Ducks, racoons, 2 kangaroos with a baby, a herd of sheep, a mighty rooster, 2 dirty white peacocks, confused meercats, gophers, a chipmunk..."

Kellie's Castle

Susan Tay

"After buying Tickets, were told it is compulsory to take photo regardless of whether if purchase later or not. Probably a way to track attendance of tickets purchases. The place has a river running in front of the castle, just like a moat. You cross a bridge to get to the castle. It is incomplete and you get to learn about the history when exploring through each of the rooms and vicinity. You can go right up to the highest level for a view that stretches very far out since the castle is on top of a hill."   View

"Malacca Submarine Museum, also known as the Submarine Museum Melaka, is a unique museum located in Malacca City, Malaysia. It is situated near the Taman Melaka Raya area and is a popular tourist attraction in the region.

The museum's main highlight is the decommissioned submarine on display, which is the Ouessant-class submarine named KD (Kapal DiRaja) Hang Tuah. The Hang Tuah submarine, formerly known as the Ouessant, was a diesel-electric submarine that served in the Royal Malaysian Navy.

The museum offers visitors a chance to explore the interior of the submarine, providing a glimpse into the daily life of submariners and the operational aspects of a submarine. Inside, you can see the various compartments, including the living quarters, control room, torpedo bays, a..."

Bukit Merah Orang Utan Island

Daniel Wong

"Decided to write a review for my visit here 2 months ago after going to the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary yesterday.
The experience at orangutan island was better as you can get up close to the orangutans and there's also a dominant male. The guides here are also more informative and show more dedication to their work. My family enjoyed ourselves here more than at Sepilok, it's a pity it's not as well known.
I WhatsApp them to book the tickets before driving to the Jetty. Check their Facebook page for the latest update on ferry times. I understand the place is temporarily closed due to low water levels at the lake so the ferry cannot be used."
