Introduction

Located in the town of Tanah Rata, the Robinson Falls is one of the few popular places to visit if you like the gushing sound of water flushing down the rocks and enjoy some time in nature along the way.

What to Expect?

At the T-junction next to the bus station, turn right to a road that leads past Century Pines Resort and a large field. Just before the road ends, take another right turn which ends at a small row of houses; left is where a small bridge starts over a drain that leads to Robinson Falls.

The jungle walk winds for about 10 minutes before the waterfall greets you - a magnificent cascade with a strong stench caused by farming activities upstream. After a quick photo (the river is inaccessible due to the steep terrain), visitors can head back or proceed further on the jungle walk to the peak of Gunung Berembun.

Most waterfalls are approached from below, but for this one you start upstream in the village. The first cataract is nice but the view is spoiled a bit by the constructions of the water treatment plant

After the fall the path keeps going down steeply. There might be more falls or cascades, but they will not be easy to reach, because the ravine is very steep.

Warning: the water is quite polluted, better not swim here!

Although the rubbish kinda disturbs the view, this short trail has a peaceful spot to relax..

Beautiful Waterfall! It’s just a small hike away from Tanah Rata. Trail 9 goes right next to the waterfall and if you take a left you can go down to a nice spot in front of the waterfall. Unfortunately there’s some washed up trash there but apart from that it’s really pretty.

The waterfall is nice, but above it there so much trash. It’s easy 20 minute walk. There was no one else visiting so it is a peaceful place.

To get to the trailhead, follow the instructions of “Mardhiah and her hedgehog”’s review down below! If you see the dam full of flowing water, you are almost to the trailhead.

I went on a rainy day, and this trail was empty. During rain, it might be slightly dangerous, but still doable. Lovely lush forest. The waterfall is nice to look at, that’s it.

Main road to the hospital is the way to get there.

Entrance is not significant. Walk across the drain. On your right is the rainbow farm where you can feed animals. They have also a strawberry farm.

    WARNING ⚠️
Be careful during rainy season. The path with red and green stones installed can be very slippery. With the wet leaves sticking on then. No maintenance at all.

Walk extra carefully when it's wet. Better walk on the ground when it's like this. I slipped many times and I'm an experienced hiker.
