Introduction
Looking for something different to do during the coming weekend? You could try dipping your toes, or even immersing your whole body, into the bubbling hot waters at Sungai Serai Hot Springs, just a short drive outside of Kuala Lumpur.
What to Expect?
The water is hot but bearable, a bit like a bath when you have left the hot tap running for too long. The sources of the water can be identified by bubbles floating up from the bottom and these areas should be avoided as they are scalding.
The colour of the water might be an unappealing green to some. While some people immerse themselves fully in the pond, visitors can opt to just submerged themselves up to the knees if they don't feel like to. Five minutes later their feet could be parboiled and had a healthy pink/red glow.
Entrance: Owners of the land on which the spring is located charge admission of RM1 per person and another RM1 for parking. They are using the proceeds to make various ‘improvements’ such as the breeze-block toilet cubicle which has been built rather too close to the pond. Hopefully they won’t encase the whole hot spring in concrete which has happened in so many other springs in Malaysia.

jual mahal
4 months agoIt now has a concrete platform within its perimeter where people can sit and rest. However, the risers are too high and no railings are erected for older people with limited mobility. Yet, the water is still full of pool algae. Visitors have to pay RM2 for the fee.

7 months agoOriginal hotspring in hulu langat. This place is not a tourist attraction. Many local people come here. They revamped this place after the 2021 flood. You need to pay RM2 to enter this area. Parking is now more spacious. This place is located beside main road. So, I dont recommend you to come here if you want to find peace. Most people that came here is for grounding purposes.

8 months agoFor a mere RM1 or if driving, have to pay another RM1, you can dip your feet or entire body in this hot spring pool. it's located along Ulu Langat road, just by the side of the main road, very convenient. Water from the hot well is very clean and can use for bathing purpose only. Go and give yourself a try.

a month agoNo photo. This is because this place is actually so close (or almost right beside) to the main road, so I decided not to go down to the pool after reaching there. I left almost immediately after I noticed that it is not located near the hill side area.
