What to Expect?

Horses, ponies and more await at Denai Alam Recreational and Riding Club (DARC). A sanctuary for the mind, body and soul, DARC is so much more than just a recreational and riding club. We are the perfect place for families and friends to get together on the weekends, away from the busy city life.

DARC offers parents and children the opportunity to discover and enjoy recreational riding activities. Think of us as the ‘kindergarten’ for horse riding where they can get up-close-and-personal to these friendly creatures. For many of the children, DARC is probably the first place where they get to be near horses and ponies, learn how to handle them and eventually, be good amateur riders. “DARC is the ‘kiddie’ for horse riding.

It’s the place where children as well as their parents can develop basic riding skills that prepare them when they go for more advanced classes at established riding schools.” Terry Teo, Founder of DARC As a non-profit organization, we welcome your contribution! To donate, volunteer or help us in our fundraising activities, please click the buttons below for more info.

For those who are willing to fork out the RM180 annual fee for a family membership, DARC is a great place for families to enjoy unique activities like horse and pony rides, along with facilities such as the splash pool, children’s playground, outdoor trampoline, volleyball court, karaoke, and gym. Members also enjoy special rates for horse riding lessons, archery, motocross, chalet, paintball and F&B. Special events like birthday parties, media launches, and weddings can be held there. Although the entry fee for a one-time visit is quite pricey, residents around the area will definitely find it the perfect place to enjoy family-bonding time.

Kids had fun feeding the horses (RM5 per bowl of carrots) and rabbits (RM20 per kid above 2 years old. Free for adults). A bit pricy as the place is not really maintained. There's a bird sanctuary as well with a turkey, houdans and pigeons. There's a fishing activity but we didn't bother coz it was too hot in the afternoon. Horse ride is only available on 2 sessions (8am-11.30am and 3pm-6.30pm). Food was ok. Set comes with free flow of drinks. Teh tarik is good! More of a place to learn horse riding rather than visiting with the family.

The compound is poorly maintained and rundown. Due to minor physical disability, ask the staff if can still take riding course. Instead, he said can just ride 2 loops with a trainer around and PAY RM10 FOR IT. Think people that STUPID enough to waste the time and money.

The reason i come all the way here is TO TAKE A PROPER HORSE RIDING LESSON!!! Not 2 loops for RM10

With such poor guest turn up on weekends, wander how they make money and feed the horses. They probably spend more food for themselves where they have buffet in the cafeteria area. Also, staff dont follow sop not wearing masks

I haven't been here in a while. You can feed horses, and ride them. I went here a few years ago. Back then they would allow you to go to the bigger place. In the bigger place you can feed more horses. And when I went here a few months ago they closed it. I think its because covid 19. Still a fun place to visit. I recommend going here.

Bad experience with Mini Petting Zoo. No one there when we enter! Paid RM20 for nothing! No chicken and only rabbit. We only see the cage without animals! Dont waste your money there.

It was great! The trainers there are really nice and helpful, as well as the riders. And, the horses are really healthy! Great place for riding. Horses are well taken care of and such a friendly environment.
