What to Expect?
The boat tour among the mangroves started at 7 pm and lasted for about 45 minutes. As the night falls, the first tour will start, tourists riding the boat will gain knowledgeable stories and history of the Johor River while watching the fireflies as they flash lights into the darkness. The view of the fireflies was very spectacular, thousands of fireflies on the trees almost like a Christmas tree.
The fairytale-like park and mesmerizing views of the thousands of fireflies are not complete without writing a wish into the lanterns and letting them fly into the dark sky. Get to say a wish and light up a paper lantern or try a fun love lock experience for a memorable night.

The Boat Tour
Hop on to the boat at the main jetty as your boat departs into the night just a short 5-10 minutes trip to the magical light bugs. Your boatman will also act as your guide and brief you upon the basic rules and regulations as well as some interesting facts about the anticipated fireflies. Just shortly after, your eyes will catch sight of the mesmerizing flickering lights that break the darkness of the night. The fireflies appear as thousands of dancing little stars and it is truly a spectacular experience as you listen to the stories and history of these fascinating light bugs.
Getting There
The Firefly Valley Leisure Park is located at the riverbank of Kota Tinggi River (Johor River). The entrance is situated about 3km after the junction of the road to Kota Tinggi Town and Kota Tinggi Bypass road, you will be notice by the big signage of the Park, you have to continue on the unpaved road for about 2km to reach the Firefly Valley Leisure Park.

a week agoWent during the June holidays and I booked the tickets through Klook before heading over. Overall a nice experience for family with kids. They will give out life jacket for everyone to wear as a safety precaution before boarding the boat. Just that the life jacket has a strong odor maybe due to poor maintenance. Another activity that they offer for family is to enjoy playing the fire sparks and 放天灯。Highly recommend you to book through Klook or you may miss the chance of getting onto the boat at your preferred timing. Saw a family who arrived trying to get tickets but were told to wait for the next trip which will be 1.5 hour later. Lots of space to park car if you are driving over. Also, they have a restaurant beside this park serving food.

Reached and found out that i need to book an appointment for slots and boat starts 7.30pm but luckily still about to get a private boat tour. Please call the business to book before u go because u may not be lucky like me to get a private boat at last minute notice. Will bring friends come visit again.. -

a month agoGreat experience visiting this firefly park! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The boat ride was great albeit warm especially with the life jackets on. Saw many fireflies as the boat driver got us close to the river banks. Seemed like the fireflies were more active on the left side of the boat.
Did the wishing lantern and purchased fireworks too. The staff helped to take really nice photos and videos of the lantern releasing. Kudos to going the extra mile for great shots. Special thanks to the staff, Michelle. Very friendly and fantastic service. Highly recommend to go! Worth the drive.
