Taman Tasik Titiwangsa

"One of the best places to spend your free time in the city. They have renovated the park recently and it has a spot for everyone from kids to elderly people. It looks very beautiful now.

- The place is super good for doing running, walking, workouts.
- Kids have plenty of things to do here. They will absolutely love it here.
- They have horse riding here as well.
- There are lot of bicycles you can rent here and ride around the lake.

Only thing is it could be crowded on weekends/holidays, but still feels good to be in a vibrant environment."

Penang War Museum

"An untouch historical place and relics. The place was occupied by the British and Japanese. A guided tour can be requested with extra fee (we didn't). A nice place to visit. Surrounding and view were nice. Bring water to drink. Many high places to climb, tight areas to crawl, & barracks to walk thru (put on comfortable shoes). Parking lots are limited. Went early in the morning and spent around 2-3 hrs. Might want to spend more hrs if you are an avid reader and thoroughly go thru every places. Receptions were nice. We were briefly introduced to the place and how it existed. Do expect a crowd. We paid cash (not sure with ct card) and it was a good place for a family tour with a little bit spookiness.

They have moved. The new location is around 200 m away from the mapped loc. It'..."

Teluk Senangin Beach

"The view is very breathtaking. There is a fishing village at the end of the beach area. It is located opposite to Pangkor Island which can be clearly seen from Teluk Senangin. The beach is not really clean because of rubbish. Maybe need some enforcement of fines to educate visitors to be more responsible. Toilet entrance fee is expensive at the public beach, but not that clean. We camped at Dataran Senangin 2. The toilets are better & cheaper there. To view more of our experience, visit our Youtube channel Nasi Lemak TV ♥️"   View

Japanese Village Bukit Tinggi

"Nice outdoor area with beautiful scenery. You can enjoy the fresh and breeze cool air here. There are nice view of the hill and also greens from here.

You need to walk uphill a little from the parking area to arrive the Japanese Tea House and also the Botanical Garden. Also you need to climb some steps upward and downward in both areas.

You can try a kimono wearing at the Tea House up the hill and take beautiful pictures with the Tea House building or with the small lake in front. You can find a spa here at the Tea House side and a Japanese restaurant at the Garden side.

Quite crowded especially during holiday seasons and on weekends."

MinNature Malaysia

"Nice place to spend hours looking at mini-mini world representing Malaysia local culture. Those figures are well made until the details of it. Seems like time taking just to built it. Also there are some buttons to activate sound, actions and trains in some of the figures. Besides that they have some projection of some theme at the Penang area and also at the KL Dataran Merdeka figure. The place / items are still developing so you will find more wonders in near future. Small area but you can enjoy long time here. However, the place is located at one of the corner of the mall so might be a little difficult to locate them.
Recommend to family members especially for children. There are many interesting figures hidden among those other figures, which is interesting to find them for chil..."

The Habitat Penang Hill

"The habitat is a well curated outdoor experience located in the enclave of Penang Hill. Consisting of a refurbished trail from the era of British colonization, the charm is further enhanced with an addition of the Curtis Crest treetop walk, giant tree swings and a little quaint gift shop/cafe. This easy walk lets one marvel the lush nature of Penang Hill and admire the wild life such as the dusky leaf monkey and a variety of birds. The the flat trail with the the exception of a short climb of stairs for the treetop walk, makes this a suitable activity for adults and family with children."   View

KLCC Park

"This is one of the best parks in the city. Right smack next to the Suria KLCC and Mandarin Oriental Hotel and the KLCC Mosque. There is also the Traders Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel too. The jogging track is about 1.2km long but needs to be resurfaced at some parts of the track. The kids playground and the pool are just fanstastic. A favourite with kids and parents. Many trees and seats for visitors to relax, have a picnic and also do people watching. Many nice spots to take photos including one with the twin towers in the background."   View

Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre

"We were in our way to Kuantan and wanted to stop for a short break and some snacks. We found Gandah sanctuary to be a nice place for a short trip with family and kids. We went to this place in August and were happy to see that the place has a free entry. They however request you for a donation towards the welfare of animals, which is completely voluntary. There was an option to hire a guide to take us around but the slot offered didn’t suit our schedule, so we were on our own.

The place (while a bit old) is well maintained and very clean. Possibly due to Covid, we didn’t see a lot of people around. So social distancing was maintained automatically.

You start the tour with some educational posters and charts about elephants, species and their uniqueness. The posters are..."
