Introduction
Pantai Cahaya Negeri is one of PD's largest beaches, situated on a vast coastal strip between 5th and 6th mile of Port Dickson. Bird Island or Pulau Burung is also located on the opposite side of the shore.
What to Expect?
The waters at Pantai Cahaya Negeri, Port Dickson are quite clean and the soft, powdery sand are extremely inviting, gleaming white when lit by the afternoon sun. Pantai Cahaya Negeri is a great place for family day activities, recreational activities or just for chilling out.
One of the most popular activity that visitors enjoy doing at Pantai Cahaya Negeri would be fishing. Pantai Cahaya Negeri is the best spot for fishing activities and the location is so great that fishing competitions are also held here once a year during Festival Pantai Port Dickson.
Festival Pantai Port Dickson is a fun beach festival organized by the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Board. There are many activities and competitions held throughout the festival period at Pantai Cahaya Negeri such as beach soccer.
Cape and Bridge
The main feature along the beach is an artificial cape that houses a recreational park lined with picnic gazebos.
The cape also links to a small mangrove island called 'Pulau Burung' by a wooden bridge, although visitors may stroll there on foot at low tide.
A boardwalk on the island leads to a platform where a watchtower provides a panoramic view of PD's coastline. Visitors would come across the mangrove trees and the sea breeze would make the walk a very enjoyable one.
Some of the popular activities here include water sports, boating, fishing, camping and berbeques.
Hotels and Resorts
The beach has one of the highest densities of family hotels and resorts within the area, owing to its natural beauty, wealth of public facilities and good infrastructure. The main feature along the beach is an artificial cape that houses a recreational park lined with picnic gazebos.

4 weeks agoVisited in the early morning, very relaxed, fine and soft sand with clean sea water, and not so crowded too. If you visit in the evening need to watch out sandflies, there are too many nasty sandflies around the beach :/

a month ago4km away from Port Dickson Town. Ample parking. Suitable for family picnic activities and open camp site. No need to apply any permit. The authorities provided the public toilet, public bathroom and praying area. Very nice scenery, spacious garden for evening walk and you can cross to the small island via the bridge to see the sun set.

4 weeks agoBeen here a couple of times as a kid, and recently again. A good beach for a quick outing with family or friends. If you're here on holiday or retreat, who advise one of the beach resorts instead then.
