Introduction

Also known as Chongkak Park, the recreational forest resort is managed by Tourism Selangor.

Activities and facilities here include camping, picnicking, BBQs and bathing in the clear cool water of natural river pools and rapids amid the tall tropical rainforest trees.

What to Expect?

About 35 kilometers from both Kuala Lumpur city center and Selangor’s Kajang town, Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest, or Hutan Lipur Sungai Congkak, is an ideal destination for city dwellers to rest their minds, picnic and enjoy all that nature has to offer.

A dipterocarp rainforest that is part of the great Titiwangsa mountain range, Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest is rich in flora and fauna with meandering, crystal-clear rivers.

Nestled in a cool and hilly area of Hulu Langat, the route leading to the forest passes through quaint towns and villages where the pace of life is noticeably slower.

Fruit stands with fresh produce from nearby orchards and food stalls with village menus on both sides of the road are common sights, giving visitors an authentic feel of life outside the city, which is actually not far away.

Vehicles can be driven into the forest compound to reach various campsites as well as chalet units available for rent. Gazebos along the nearby river make good picnic sites and also provide shelter from rain.

Although the Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest lacks waterfalls, the river pools are wide and shallow in some spots, making it suitable for a dip or swim.

The park attracts a large number of mostly local visitors at weekends but as it is a spacious park extending over 6 zones it does not feel crowded. Chalets are also available for overnight stays.

Very beautiful and clean. Quiet and calming especially on week days.

There's a lot of dogs roaming around but they were super chill and knows to keep their distance. They didn't bother nor touch our things too even when there's food in the bag.

Entrance fee is rm1 per person and rm15 if you want to bring your car in. Since the place seems to be very well taken care of, I think the price is quite affordable).

Skytrex is a place app. 50 Kms away from KL city centre at sungai congkak. Ample car park avl inside for free but while entering the place, u have to pay an entry ticket RM 5 per person in cash. Tickets for zipline are avl online (better to buy online b4), there are 2 types of tickets...1 is taller zip line and other is at normal height with additional tasks such as rope bridge crossing etc. The activities will take 1.5 to 2 hrs since you have to fill a form in the beginning and then they provide a short training...There is a river behind the zip line area where you can sit together to have snacks/food (don't forget to carry a mat or big bed sheet and garbage bags). There are not many food options nearby hence it is advisable to carry your own food. Paid toilets are available nearby (RM 1 per person per visit). There are few stray dogs there, if u feed them, they will follow but they are not dangerous so not to worry. We went into a big group so it was fun, though you can carry Bluetooth speakers, but very less internet signals. The place is inside a small jungle, the best suitable time to visit is morning hours..All in all a good place to visit..

    RM1 for Malaysian
    RM5 for Non-Malaysia

Free entry for kids below RM12

Thus is my first visit after the mass renovation.

    What's new:
    1. No more free public toilet. Have to pay 50cents. Want to chane clothe? Still have to pay.
    2. Cleaner than before, I think.
    3. More wild dogs than ever.
    4. I miss my lokching stall.
    5. SkyTrex looks sad though.

Parking: can park outside and inside. Better to park inside, it's only RM5, same as outside. But the outside parking is illegal. I think.

A good place to have a picnic, camping and also BBQ. Bring your kids too.
