Perdana Botanical Gardens

"I absolutely loved it ! It’s a huge place with lots to see such as the bird park (I didn’t have time to visit this though, you also need a ticket for this whereas the Perdana gardens itself is free for entrance), there’s also a deer enclosure which is free and the whole places give a vibe of being in east Malaysia. I would recommend going when it’s rainy or after a rainy period because when I went, it was a storm but it was so much fun to play in the rain and breathe in the sweet petrichor while exploring the entire park."   View

Templer's Park Jungle Waterfall

"A beautiful waterfall place but unfortunately had been terrorized and vandalized by irresponsible people that left their trash & leftovers around the place (polystyrene, beer cans, plastic bags were found everywhere. Even a whole rusty grill set. Seriously people?) Better ban this kind of people from coming to any nature place like this.

Nevertheless the nature here is very picturesque. Got several levels/steps of waterfalls for you to take a dip in. Need to hike a bit but if you can hike higher you'll get more privacy & more beautiful scenery. There are cement steps & pathways so you need to be careful while both ascending/descending the time trails."

The Sheep Sanctuary

"You better go once in a lifetime, especially with your kids, sure they will love this experience. Tamed alpacas and sheep all was so clean and in good shape. First you need to get parking around Kea Farm, you can walk down the road while you can buy a few souvenirs near Kea Farm such as strawberries, chocolate and many more. Then you need to buy tickets, not so expensive, and worth your money. They will give you 1 pack of sheep food that you can use to feed the sheep and alpaca inside, yes of course with your own hand, dont worry they will not bite you because they are very friendly and hungry seeking for your attention, if your food running out, you can bought inside, got vending machine also. Just have visit and enjoy, the feel that you never forget."   View

Pusat Ikan Hiasan (Sea Aquarium) Port Dickson

"Free entrance !

Some suggestions for the improvements :

1) The road to this place is a bit narrow and it can be improved further to cater for more tourists. Someone is collecting RM3 parking fee outside of this place, probably the relevant party can look into this to make it either totally free parking or ensure the parking fee collected is used to reduce the operating costs of the center.

2) Quite a lot of aquarium tanks are empty. Could have more fishes and plants to be included.

3) To explore in getting a big and transparent aquarium tank for the turtles inside the center."

"???????? ????? & ?????? ????

???????? ????? is not far from ?????????? ????. From the view at the lake, you can see the sea ahead. I told myself that I was going to reach the beach, and ready to enjoy tasty food there. Keep going... But oh no...

There is a turtle conservation centre at ???????? ?????, but there are only a few baby turtles swimming in a small pool, some exhibits, a public toilet and no other services. The boat driver only accepted passengers with pre-purchased tickets at the entrance, however we didn't buy.
Luckily, we saw a local guy (who seemed like a staff in ?????? ????). We asked him for a full bottle of water and asked him to negotiate with the boatman to take us back to the entrance with ????? (614,000 VND). We would have paid ????/person onl..."

National Zoo Malaysia

"Went there around 9:30am on a Saturday morning, it was not too crowded, ticket redemption was easy for tickets that were bought in advance online. We arrived in the panda center around 10:30am, but the panda are still sleeping. The animal show was rather crowded and the show lasted about an hour, it started with macaws doing some tricks and ended with a sea lion show. Opposite the animal show is where the mini aquarium is located, you may find the penguins in one of the mini display glasses over there."   View

Huskiss

"Oh, what a gem of a find :) For lovers of dogs, this is cafe is a must visit. I recently organised a birthday party for my daughter and her friends at Huskiss. The really nice people who work there are very friendly and accommodating. But the main stars of the place has to be the pack of gorgeously well-behaved Huskies that great you enthusiastically went you enter. They will come and sniff you, rub themselves against you and sit down or lie beside you. The kids (and adults) had a blast and the food and drinks (which can be catered from the same cafe) was also good. Highly recommended for families!"   View

Desaru Fruit Farm

"Booked the rm598 open top jeep tour which lasted around an hour. Price includes tour around the farm, plucking of fruits (guava and some other fruits) and visit to petting zoo. Zoo has rabbits, goats, chickens, emu, and 1 python.

Pros: don’t need to walk and carry your bag/fruits. Personal tour guide, quite informative. Learnt about some new fruit I never heard before. Cool experience on the jeep. Fruit plucking is a rare experience for city folks like me. Petting zoo rabbits are very cute.

Cons: Jeep can be very hot if it’s a sunny day. Fruit plucking involved getting on and off the vehicle so those with young kids or old folks might want to opt out. Lots of mosquitoes in some areas of the farm eg the guava trees. Got bitten many times. Petting zoo abit dirty but over..."

Big Red Strawberry Farm

"I think expectation is key for going to some of the strawberry farms in the Highlands. I knew prior to arriving that it wasn’t strawberry season so the likelihood of seeing strawberries actually growing wasn’t very likely — which I was totally fine with. I mostly wanted to go to try out some of the foods they make with them.
I would HIGHLY recommend getting food and drinks. This was the best part while visiting in the off-season.
Mostly my partner and I were somewhat confused about where to go to actually see anything at the farm. From the short search we did everything was gated and locked so we couldn’t actually really see any of the plants much. It was a bit odd but cool to see from a distance nonetheless."
