What to Expect?

The Ostrich Wonderlands in Semenyih is more than a viable alternative for parents to take their kids to on weekends or public holidays. A smart makeshift of a commercial poultry farm, Ostrich Wonderland opens its doors to visitors to witness animals such as ponies, geese, chickens, turkeys, donkeys, rabbits, and of course, the ostriches themselves.

The staff will also present a brief about rearing the ostriches, and take the visitors to a mini-tour of the egg incubators.

The ostriches roam freely in a large pen and are well looked after. Besides birds there are goats, ponies, rabbits, donkeys and monkeys.

You can take a look at the egg incubators and get a briefing on raising exotic birds. You can buy frozen ostrich, chicken or guinea fowl meat to take home and maybe even a turkey for Christmas.

Entrance Fee

Admission is RM15 for adults and RM10 for kids above 3 and below 12.

Pony rides cost RM8 for adults and RM5 for kids.

Very friendly team of staff. We arrived on a cloudy Sunday late morning. Within 30 minutes it started to rain. We had no problem walking around the area as the pathway is all covered in small stones or rocks. So it is not muddy as claimed by many others who visited some time ago. The rain went on and off. We took umbrellas and moved about the area with ease.

Upon paying entrance fees of RM75 (adults RM20/pax, kids RM15/pax), we were given a bucket with 4 packets of feed (pellets) for all animals and a bottle of milk for goats.

There are A LOT of ostriches and various species of chickens, cows, horses, rabbits, goats, geese, emus, peacocks, a monkey and even turkeys. Turkeys are not part of the visiting (covered in nets) but are for sale.

Informative egg hatching demo by owner's son.

There are some fruits for sale too, if you're lucky. Today there are D24 durians, dragon fruits, rambutans, pandan coconuts and guavas. All from a nearby orchard operated by the same owner.

Despite on and off rain, we had a good time at Ostrich Wonderland.

By the way the toilets are very clean.
